Lady Abby, Another View
Travis Louie is one of my favorite Sea Monkey artists and I was thrilled to find a fourth Sea Monkey portrait by Louie. It's Abby, who we've seen before but this time she's got a wry smile on her face.
See Louie's other portraits, including the 1st Abby painting here: http://seamonkeygeek.blogspot.com/search/label/travis%20louie

Sea Monkey Soup?!
Don't panic, the recession has not yet gone so deep that we're raising amazing pet Sea Monkeys for food (though their less hybrid cousins have been feeding the fishes for years). This amazing painting is by Ron English and his site popaganda.com/ is worth checking out for lots more fantastic art.

Abby The Sea Monkey
It's great to get to return to some of the artists I've featured in the past and see new Sea Monkey art work. I was quite surprised to find a third Sea Monkey portrait by Travis Louie on flikr.Meet Abby. Funny thing, this wonderful painting doesn't appear on Louie's fine website: www.travislouie.com
Click here for the other Travis Louie Sea Monkey portraits in our virtual gallery.

The Chung strikes again

We've seen The Chung's art here before. He gave us the fantastic Sea Monkey Knife Fight. Now comes The Atomic Sea Monkey Elbow Drop! I love Chung's take on Sea Monkeys. If there is ever a Sea Monkey animated show or feature I hope he'll be considered. Check out his website here: http://chungfortunecookie.blogspot.com/

Fantastic Sea Monkey Art by Dulemba

I can't believe I didn't find this piece earlier. What a wonderful new addition to my Sea Monkey Art Gallery.
Elizabeth D. Dulemba is a very talented children's book author and illustrator. Unfortunately I don't think her playful, fish riding Sea Monkeys are featured in a book, but wouldn't that be fun?
Check her out at www.dulemba.com.

The Terwiliger Family
Kamala Dolphin-Kingsley is one of my fiancée and I's favorite artists. She is yet another amazing member of the awesome group of artists who go by the name, The Seven Deadly Sinners. The majority of the art in our online gallery here comes from these sinners. Check them out at www.7deadlysinners.typepad.com.

Sea Monkey Queens
Travis Louie created these two beautiful paintings. First we have Amelia Queen of The Sea Monkeys, and the second painting is Ophelia Queen of The Sea Monkeys.Apparently Ophelia was the second painting but was based on the original sketch for Sea Monkey Queen.

I can't decide which I like better. Be sure to visit Mr. Louie's website where you'll find no more Sea Monkeys, but many more amazing paintings; www.TravisLouie.com

I am going to have to see if my sponsors will put up some Sea Monkey merch as a prize to generate some more Sea Monkey Art. Hmmm. Watch for more on this idea soon.

Sea Monkeys, one great thing about America
When Kipling West found himself living in Canada he started thinking about the things he loved most about his old home, The USA. So, in 2001, he painted 165 Great Things About America. Just to the right of the top left square you'll see a familliar face. Kipling love's Sea Monkeys. You may recall that his Frida and The Sea Monkeys was the first piece of Art in our art Gallery and the third entry to this here blog. Click here for a list of all 165 great things.
