Onion Head battles the Evil Sea Monkey

Not the first time you've seen a giant evil Sea Monkey ready terrorize a city. Hmmm? Did Freud ever mention the phobia of giant evil Sea Monkeys attacking the city?

Sea Monkeys on American Dad

I hope I don't lose any readers with this, but I am NOT a fan of American Dad. It isn't as awful as Family Guy, but that's not really a compliment. Nevertheless, as a tireless catologuer of all things Sea Monkey, I bring you this youtube clip of Roger The Alien from Americna Dad hatching Sea Monkeys.

Sea Monkey Race Track Commercial

I knew of these race tracks and always wanted one, in fact I still want one, but I had no idea they were once advertised on television.

Thanks to Uncle Sea Monkey for finding this and putting it up on his youtube page.

An Interview with the Sea Monkey President

George Atamian is the president and CEO of Educational Insights, the company that gives us Sea Monkeys. I hope to shoot my own interview with him soon, but for now, here he is being interviewed at some expo.

Uncle Sea Monkey on YouTube

Well I'll be a Sea Monkey's uncle. What's that? The jobs already taken? So it is. This Uncle Sea Monkey is the same fella who designed www.Sea-Monkey.com and he has a great youtube page full of Sea Monkey videos. From fighting to mating to babies. Check out all his great videos at www.youtube.com/seamonkeysforever.

And please note, I purchased a URL so the site can now be reached by typing www.SeaMonkeyGeek.com into your browser.

The Live Action Sea Monkey TV Show

In the early nineties a live action Sea Monkeys TV show appeared on CBS. Howie Mandel starred as a scientist who accidentally enlarges three Sea Monkey brothers, and in the process somehow renders them into air breathing, land dwelling creatures.

The show was a Three Stooges homage staring Sea Monkeys as they appear in the original sixties comic book ads. Here's a short clip from one episode. Enjoy.

The Pixies love Sea Monkeys too

The Pixies are one of my favorite bands, and here they are performing a song about Sea Monkeys. Scroll down for the lyrics. Enjoy.

Palace Of The Brine
by The Pixies
In a place they say is dead
in the lake that's like an ocean
i count about a billion head
all the time
there's a motion
palace of the brine
i saw the cloning
of the famous family
i heard the droning
in the shrine
of the sea-monkey
palace of the brine
beneath reflections in the fountain
the starry sky and utah mountains
they are swimming happily
can't you see
a life that's so sublime
palace of the brine.
